If you need another project, I am working on restoring the old train depot in Astoria, Oregon. It is a masonry building, built in 1924. It is currently owned by the Columbia River Maritime Museum. I have construction documents. The restoration will be in phases as the Museum does fund raising. We are starting with the repair of a crack in one corner of the building that was caused by the Nisqually earthquake. Eventually we will do a full seismic upgrade, and we are insulating the building and doing new HVAC. If you send me your email I can send the drawings and a few photos to see if it is of interest.
While I think about it, talk with Art DeMuro of Venerable Properties as well. They have done a number of historic restorations in Portland, including the White Stag building which was a LEED project as well. It is now the University of Oregon Portland campus.
You try the restoration of Towler Hall at Clatsop Community College. If you put in "Towler Hall" into a Google search you will come up with photos and some background information. Another good source for projects is Yumei Wang of DOGAMI (who helped with seismic funding for this project). She also has worked on projects at PSU. Another project would be the Meier & Frank remodel. Talk with Blake Pasty at KPFF in Portland. They used a damper system that was very effective and actually eliminated the need to individually tie all the terra cotta back to the steel frame and was less expensive overall than the traditional approach.
Let me know when your program is, I have attended a couple of APT events and really enjoyed them.
