I was told there is a class on how to repair your windows.  Do you know where I can find a schedule online?

There are workshops periodically.  Clatsop Community College does it.  And the Architectural Heritage Center holds one occasionally.  Joy Sears at the State Hist Pres Office may know.  Her email is joy.sears@state.or.us.

I am a resident of Portland, and have a small (about 3' long) antique children's carousel horse that badly needs to be painted, but I don't have the talent/knowledge to do it myself.  It's getting the body shadings right that I feel I can't do.

Do you know of anyone in or near Portland who might be able to paint the body of the horse for me?  Just the basic paint job, with shadings--I could then do the decorations myself. I have been unable to find anyone via the Internet.

Thank you very much,
  Susan

Susan, we will check in with some of our carousel aficionados and see what we can find out for you!

Hi, Susan - we just happen to know one of the world's foremost experts on historic carousels, who lives near Hood River. His name is Duane Perron--541 806 8068. He's been advising us on our efforts with the Jantzen Beach Carousel which is one of our Most Endangered Places for 2012.

Thank you so much for your reply.    Susan
